Possible species: B. merleti
Description: Skeleton of fused conical corallites (plocoid) with large fleshy polyps expanded during the day. Polyp structure is smooth and has a claret coloured outer portion with a neon green center.
Care: Prefers low light and water flow conditions. Actinic lighting (VHO or PC) results in most intense coloration. Grows well when nutrient load is pushed higher than normal for SPS corals. This coral has been in the propagation program since 2000.
