Livestock : SPS Corals : Blue Tipped Staghorn Acropora
Possible species: A. formosa , A. grandis etc
Description: Typical large staghorn growth formation. Individual branches up to 20mm thick. Tan color with a bright sky-blue growth tip under 20K lighting
Care: Grows well under average water flow conditions. Otherwise maintain usual SPS water chemistry. Loses sky-blue tips under less lighting than 250W. 20,000 K radium lighting supports color but other lighting regimes still under investigation. Been in captive propagation since 2003.
