Livestock : SPS Corals : Branching Brown Staghorn

Possible Species: A. noblis, A. robusta, A. abrotanoides etc
Description: Large branching formation that may fuse together at the base depending on size of colony and water flow conditions. Branches up to 30 mm thick. Light brown with white growth tips.
Care: Does best under PC's or 175W halides. Direct exposure to 250W and above will induce gradual bleaching, otherwise tolerant of conditions and recommended as another good first-SPS coral. The large colony of this coral is shown on the Contacts page and was grown from a 1” fragment obtained in 1999.
