Livestock : SPS Corals : Green Slimer Acropora
Possible species: A. yongei, A. haimei etc
Description: Two strains of the famous “ Bali green slimer”. Small staghorn growth profile with individual branches up to 12 mm thick. One strain is darker neon green than the other, otherwise difficult to differentiate.
Care: Grows well under average to strong variable water flow conditions. Otherwise maintain usual SPS water chemistry. This coral has proven to be very adaptable to lighting conditions. Does not need 400W MH lighting but strong actinic supplementation really make it “pop-out”. Been in captive propagation program since 1998.
