Possible species: A. prostrata, A. millepora, A. aspera etc
Description: Mid-sized branching that forms into a thicket or a cushion formation depending upon placement and water flow. Individual branches are up to 12 mm thick. Colour varies from a deep chestnut brown to a teal green with distinctive “millepora-like”corallites and long white polyp tentacles exposed 24 hrs.
Care: Teal green colour under 250 to 400 W, 20,000 K lighting. Does not need intensive lighting to grow well. Some of the best growth rates for this coral were experienced under PC lighting. Very adaptable coral with all the potential for being a show piece. On one occasion the parent colony of this coral was observed releasing egg bundles in captivity.
