Livestock : SPS Corals : Lavander Acropora
Possible species: A. humilis, A.monticulosa, A. gemmifera, A. digitifera etc
Description: Thick “stubby finger like” growth formation. Individual branches up to 15 mm thick and 30 mm long. Deep lavender purple colour under 20,000 K lighting.
Care: So far, grown under average to strong variable water flow conditions. Good coloration under 250 W 20,000 K radium lights. Other lighting regimens not investigated but this coral has coloured up from the rich-brown of the originally acquired fragment. Been in captive propagation program since 2003.
