Livestock : SPS Corals : Pink Montipora Capricornis
Possible species: M. vietnamesis, M. monareriata, M. capricornis, M. florida etc
Description: Grows in an irregular plate formation. Multiple fragile layers eventually form dependent upon water current conditions. Bright pink under 20,000K radium with actinic lighting. Darkens to more orange under less intense lighting.
Care: Usual SPS water chemistry and tolerant of range of water currents which will affect growth formation. Very adaptable coral to lighting conditions but pink colour is most intense under 250W or 400W halides. This coral has been in captive propagation program since 1998.
